This immunodominant epitope was defined using a series of overlapping fragments of Erns. Use of this fragment, Ernsaa65-145, and the fragment Ernsaa109-220 limited the epitope to the region of aa109-145. The fusion antigen also includes the amino acids APPPPPLRSGC on the carboxy terminus.
