The influence of branched polypeptide carriers on the immunogenicity of predicted epitopes of HSV-1 glycoprotein D.
|
| description: |
The positions assigned by the authors are in the mature protein.
Fifty percent of BALB/c and 65% of CBA mice immunized with the epitope conjugated to a branched carrier (AK) were protected against lethal challenge with HSV-1. BALB/c mice immunized with the LAK-epitope conjugate were not protected. Sera from surviving mice taken 3 weeks after viral challenge neutralized HSV-1 in vitro.
