description:	Epitopes changes on the HA protein of recently isolated H1N1 viruses were identified using SVHA recombinant virus via IFA. Site-directed mutagenesis revealed R125 as a critical residue for the binding of mAb 110. Changing arginine to either serine or lysine abolished reactivity, while a change to glycine was tolerated.
