| name: |
B-cell epitopes in hypervariable region 1 of hepatitis C virus obtained from patients with chronic persistent hepatitis.
|
| description: |
The peptide is derived from a consensus sequence of residues 384-414 from hypervariable domain 1 (HVR1) within the N-terminus of the HCV E2 protein.
An increase in serum titer to the epitope was observed after IFN-alpha2b treatment in 2 of 3 patients with chronic hepatitis C. Before treatment, only one patient reacted with the epitope from the hypervariable domain 1 (HVR1) within the N-terminus of the E2 protein.
