In situ immunostaining was used to demonstrate that guinea pig anti-FMDV peptide antibodies were capable of recoginzing MDBK cells infected with recombinant IBRV-FMDV (monomer or dimer form) virus. Similar reactivity was observed following immunogold labeling viewed by EM.
