| name: |
Delineation of contiguous determinants essential for biological functions of the pre-S sequence of the hepatitis B virus envelope protein: its antigenicity, immunogenicity and cell-receptor recognition.
|
| description: |
The sequence is derived from cited reference (AR Neurath, et al. (1987) Mol. Immunol. 24:975-80
[PMID: 3657811]).
The epitope was identified as an optimal epitope. Elongation of shorter peptide or addition of cystein or glycine at N-terminal of peptides increased Ab binding. Similar results were obtained with radio labeled mAb. Peptide residue substitution with alanine indicated essential binding domain was located between Q132 and L139.
