name:
A self-adjuvanting multiepitope immunogen that induces a broadly cross-reactive antibody to hepatitis C virus.
description:
This epitope sequence was reported as being from the HVR1 region of HCV H77 1a, however, an internal ID was assigned because no match could be found by BLAST.
Antisera from mice immunized with the epitope linked to a helper epitope exhibited greater inhibition of the entry of HCV pseudotypic particles into Huh 7 cells than sera from mice immunized with a lipidated polyepitope vaccine which consists of 4 component peptides representing sequence variants of HCV H77 HVR1, a T helper epitope, and Pam2Cys linked to create a heteropolymer.
