description:	This epitope is a mimetope of plant profilin. Profilin-allergic patients sera was tested for IgE binding to mugwort pollen, birch pollen and celery tuber extracts after preincubation with the epitope, which caused a decrease in binding. Similar results were seen with immunoblot experiments.
