description:	This epitope is a 3-deoxy-D-manno-octulosonic acid (Kdo) saccharide of genus-specific LPS of Chlamydia. Epitope specific mAb S67-27 bound O-deacylated LPS from recombinant E. coli encoding Kdo transferase WaaA from Chlamydophila trachomatis, C. pneumoniae, or C. psittaci. Similar results were obtained with LPS purified from Chlamydia.
