| name: |
Characterization of murine monoclonal and murine, rabbit, and human polyclonal antibodies against chlamydial lipopolysaccharide.
|
| description: |
This epitope is disaccharide of alpha-3-deoxy-D-manno-2-octulosonic acid (KDO) derived from chlamydia LPS.
Hemolysis assay was carried out with antigen-coated sheep RBC in the presence of antibodies and complements. Sera from animals immunized with heat-killed recombinant Salmonella minnesota expressing chlamydial genus-specific LPS or the purified LPS-incorporated liposome did not recognize the epitope although bound the LPS. The carrier was composed of GlcNhm2.
