Structural and functional complexity of the humoral response against the Trypanosoma cruzi ribosomal P2 beta protein in patients with chronic Chagas' heart disease.

| description: |
The epitope inhibited binding of purified mono-specific anti-epitope Abs to the epitope-BSA conjugate. Peptide H13 (aa: EESDDDMGFGLFD) and it's phospho-serine analogue inhibited the binding as well. Alanine substitution assay revealed the fine-specificity of purified mono-specific Abs had unique recognition patterns with one common residue of E3 for binding.
