The minimal epitope recognized by anti-Hev b 1 mAbs II4G9 and II2F3 was deduced through study of overlapping peptides spanning the sequence of Hev b1 and peptides with one amino acid offset spanning residues 121-137. The peptides were biotinylated at the N-terminus via a 6-aminohexanoicacid molecule and bound to streptavidin-coated ELISA plates.
