Role of conformational and linear epitopes in the achievement of tolerance in cow's milk allergy.
description:
The sequences is from the reference cited: Wal (1998) Allergy 53: 1013-22. [PMID: 9860234]
Sera from 8 of 10 patients who outgrew cow's milk allergy showed strong and 2 of 10 showed weak IgE binding to the epitope on a SPOT membrane. Serum samples used were drawn before the patients developed tolerance to milk. Sera from non-milk-allergic individuals did not bind.
