| name: |
Comparison of a whole-virus enzyme immunoassay (EIA) with a peptide-based EIA for detecting rubella virus immunoglobulin G antibodies following rubella vaccination.
|
| description: |
The cysteine residues are linked by a disulfide bridge in the epitope.
Six weeks after vaccination, seroconversion rates were 95.2% (119/125). This is comparable to reactivity detected using the RV-EIA. Two additional women seroconverted to peptide late (11 weeks and 13 weeks). Revaccination of one of the peptide non-responders, who had seroconverted to rubella by the Enzygnost test, did not result in seroconversion to peptide.
