Peptide mimotopes selected from a random peptide library for diagnosis of Epstein-Barr virus infection.
|
| description: |
This epitope is a mimotope of Epstein Barr virus GP125 (BALF4) antigen. Authors do not assign this mimicry to a particular region on the antigen.
The phage displayed peptide was the single sequence obtained after four rounds of panning of a 20-mer random peptide library with the commercial anti-Gp125 mAb L2. The phage displayed peptide competes the mAb binding to crude EBV antigen. The isolated peptide also bound the mAb.
