Overlapping 8-mer peptides were tested to determine this minimal epitope. mAb F22/4C11 had specificity for species expect B and Ba serovars. mAb F2/3G8 had specificity for B, Ba, D, F, and L1 serovars. The authors indicated that the synthetic octameric peptides were synthesized to represent the MOMPs of serovars D, E, F, H, and K.
