description:	This peptide is comprised of two epitopes (RHKQKIVAPVKQTL , aa 924-937, and VPNLRGDLQVLAQKVART, aa 865-882) derived from the VP1 protein of foot and mouth disease virus strain O₁ Kaufbeuren, Genbank accession no. 130448. The peptides are linked by the amino acid residues PPS and are synthesized with two amino-terminal cysteine residues and a carboxy-terminal PCG. These amino acid numbers do not match those in the paper (200-213 and 141-158 for VP1, respectively) because the full polyprotein is referenced, as opposed to the VP1 protein that is processed from the polyprotein. Sera was collected 27 days post-vaccination.
