| name: |
Mapping of B cell epitopes in measles virus nucleocapsid protein.
|
| description: |
Monoclonal antibodies 3E1, 6E4 and 11C9 raised against the recombinant measles nucleocapsid protein (rMeN) were initially found to react with the 419-525aa fragment of MeN. The epitope of these mAbs was then further mapped to residues 440-447 using synthetic peptides spanning this region in ELISA assay. In a separate experiment, single alanine substitutions of Arg444 and Glu446 were shown to abrogate this reactivity demonstrating the importance of these residues.
