A novel peptide isolated from a phage display peptide library with trastuzumab can mimic antigen epitope of HER-2.
|
| description: |
A mimotope (H98) for HER-2 protein identified from a peptide library via binding with a specific monoclonal antibody (Trastuzumab). A linear sequence (12-mer) is specified, however, only some of the amino acids (G3, P4, S11, 12H) and a minimum number of residues (8) are critical for antibody binding. There is no linear sequence in HER-2 that corresponds to H98
this is because H98 mimics a conformational epitope rather than a linear epitope.
Binding increased as the number of immunizations increased.
