name:
N-terminus of M2 protein could induce antibodies with inhibitory activity against influenza virus replication.
description:
The assay measured the inhibitory effect of antibodies against influenza viruses A and B replication in vitro by the Madin-Darby canine kidney cytopathic effect inhibitory assay. A similar inhibitory effect was shown against the influenza B virus B/wuhan/321/99 strain. The first eight residues of this epitope were found to be highly conserved among all 188 influenza A virus strains with available M2 protein amino acid sequences.
