The assay examined the reactivity of anti-F1 antisera to the peptide. The antisera only reacted with the peptide at very low dilutions. Similar results were shown with anti-F1 antisera raised in H-2q, H-2b, H-2d, and H-2k inbred mice. Similar results were also shown in rabbits and with anti-F1 polymer antisera raised in outbred mice.
