name:
Antigenicity and immunogenicity of phage library-selected peptide mimics of the major surface proteophosphoglycan antigens of Entamoeba histolytica.
description:
This peptide, along with others sharing the GTHPXL consensus motif, mimics the surface proteophosphoglycans (PPGs, a.k.a. lipophosphoglycan) of Entamoeba histolytica in its reactivity to an anti-PPG monoclonal antibody, EH5.
Reactivity to the trophozoites in immunofluorescence assays was observed using sera of mice immunized with the epitope-displaying phage clone.
