The assay examined the ability of the peptide to compete with the F1 antigen for binding to F1 antisera. Similar results were shown with anti-F1 antisera raised in H-2q, H-2b, H-2d, and H-2k inbred mice. Similar results were also shown with anti-F1 polymer antisera raised in outbred mice.
