| name: |
Antigenic epitopes of the hepatitis A virus polyprotein.
|
| description: |
This peptide is part of an immunoreactive domain (aas308-340 in the viral polyprotein sequence) with weak but significant specific reactivity with acute-phase sera samples. It includes residues D315 and Q319 which had been found previously to be essential residues of the HAV major conformational neutralizing epitope. Swiss-prot ID and positions correspond to the genome polyprotein, not to the mature source protein.
2.4% of acute phase sera recognize this peptide while 0% of normal human sera samples do.
