description:	This mimotope mimics a peptide in the Vibrio cholerae O139 capsular polysaccharide. The first five (AEGEF) and last four (DPAK) amino acids belong to the pVIII phage library sequence, which is present in the pC89 vector. A similar response was shown in a competitive enzyme immunoassay with peptide-BSA conjugates as an inhibitor. The binding response against Vibrio cholerae capsular polysaccharide was weak and therefore, evaluated further in a competitive immunoassay.
