| name: |
Identification of an epitope on the dengue virus membrane (M) protein defined by cross-protective monoclonal antibodies: design of an improved epitope sequence based on common determinants present in both envelope (E and M) proteins.
|
| description: |
The epitope specificity of these monoclonal antibodies was identified by scan of overlapping peptides spanning amino acids 301-401 of the E protein. In this assay, the monoclonal antibodies exhibited a stronger reactivity with the corresponding peptide sequence from the attenuated dengue 2 virus strain which contains an amino acid substitution at the fourth residue.
