Overlapping peptides spanning a hydrophilic region with sequence variability among the p-60-related proteins from other Listeria species were evaluated for reactivity. While this peptide did not exhibit reactivity, others were positive and one peptide (STPVAPTQEVKK) was synthesized and evaluated further.
