Synthetic recombinant vaccine expressing influenza haemagglutinin epitope in Salmonella flagellin leads to partial protection in mice.
|
| description: |
Positive responses were shown when both the recombinant bacteria expressing the epitope and the flagellin isolated from it were used as immunogens. Similar responses were found in C57BL/6 and BALB/c mice. The antisera was obtained from the lungs of the mice. Similar IgG responses were shown in the blood. Although binding occurred when the recombinant bacteria was used as the immunogen, it was less effective than the flagellin isolated from it used as immunogen.
