name:
The antigenic structure of the influenza B virus hemagglutinin: operational and topological mapping with monoclonal antibodies.
description:
This is the epitope of the cross-reactive monoclonal antibody 74/1 (originally raised against influenza virus B/HK/8/73) on the hemagglutinin (HA) molecule of influenza virus B/Oregon/5/80. The epitope positions refer to the the author given positions in the mature protein, whereas the source here is the precursor protein.
The antibody selected escape mutants were sequenced to define residues involved in the recognition. Binding to other escape mutants was also tested for each mAb, and additional residues were determined.
