name:
Immunogenic structure of the influenza virus hemagglutinin.
description:
The peptide synthesized included a N-terminal tyrosine not present in the primary HA sequence. The actual sequence used is YCLGHHAVPNGTLVKTITNDQIEVTNATELVQSSSTGKIC. The source reported by the authors is X47 reassortant, where the HA molecule is derived from the parent strain Victoria/3/75.
The actual virus strain used in the assay is the X-47 reassortant. Negative responses were obtained with sera from animals immunized with 1 mg uncoupled (without KLH conjugation) peptide per dose.
