name:
Use of bacterial expression cloning to define the amino acid sequences of antigenic determinants on the G2 glycoprotein of Rift Valley fever virus.
description:
The monoclonal antibody reacted with both a standard detergent cell lysate and a SDS-denatured cell lysate. The monoclonal antibody was further shown to have a similar reactivity pattern with bacterial-expressed protein, which was subsequently employed for epitope mapping. The monoclonal antibody was reportedly able to neutralize virus infectivity and to confer passive protection to mice challenged with lethal viral doses.
