| description: |
This peptide (LAAAVLNL) was generated by B cell epitope scanning of the Chlamydia psittaci (B577) omp1 protein using 35 overlapping 8-mer peptides to the VD4 region. Immune sera from rabbits and mice was used to establish reactivity to each peptide. Ultimately, the 12-merS LNLTTWNPTLLG and ATALDTSNKFADFLQI were selected based on their high reactivity to all antisera. SwissProt ID provided represents best homology to sequence in paper.
Sequential octapeptides overlapping by 7 residues and spanning the variable domain (VD) 4 of the MOMP of Chlamydia psittaci (B577) were tested for reactivity with high-titer ovine, rabbit and murine serum samples. Data is presented as the percent above the baseline signal generated by the 10 peptides with the lowest optical densities values. This peptide demonstrated a reactivity of approximately 190%. The reactivity range from this assay was approximately 30-620%.
