A serotype-specific epitope of dengue virus 1 identified by phage displayed random peptide library.
|
| description: |
A competitive binding inhibition assay was used to determine if the peptide and dengue 1 antigen competed for the same antibody binding site. The antibody was preincubated with the dengue virus. The peptide was synthesized in an eight-chain branched form (8 x HKYSWK) and used to coat the plate. Dengue 1 exhibited significant inhibition, while lysates from dengue viruses 2, 3, and 4 showed no inhibition.
