The sequence of the epitope was deduced from the amino acid positions based on the reference cited in the manuscript and the corresponding SwissProt entry for M. kansasii alpha antigen (antigen 85-B precursor).
Epitope mapping was performed with recombinant truncated peptides from M. kansasii alpha antigen (antigen 85-B). A similar response was found with anti-M. tuberculosis alpha antigen serum.
