Western blot analysis was done with anti-peptide antibody. It reacted with strain HEP, as well as strain ERA and CVS. F282 is a critical residue and defines a binding site for the monoclonal antibody MAb RG719, and IgM antibody from mice immunized with purified virions that can neutralize HEP strain virus.
