| name: |
Development of a plant-derived subunit vaccine candidate against hepatitis C virus.
|
| description: |
The HCV HRV1 peptide is a cross-reactive mimotope of the Hepatitis C virus envelope protein which antigenically mimics a large number of natural HCV HVR1 variants.
Mice were immunized with TMV/CTB-HRV1-infected plant extract in order to estimate the immunogenic potential of the plant-produced recombinant proteins. Immunized mice developed a specific HRV1 response with an average titer of 1:800 (Day 28 and 74).
