Intranasal tolerance induction with polypeptides derived from 3 noncross-reactive major aeroallergens prevents allergic polysensitization in mice.
|
| description: |
Mice sensitized to Bet v 1 and then treated with the epitope in a mixture with 2 other peptides had a diminished response in an IgE-dependent allergen-specific basophil degranulation assay, as well as IL-4 production. IL-10 production was lower but adoptive transfer experiments showed that tolerance was not transferable by spleen cells.
