A set of 63 overlapping 15-mer peptides with a 5-residues shift, covering the entire sequence of the Mycobacterium leprae 30-kDa protein antigen 85B were synthesized.
Antibody response patterns of 3 leprosy patients to all 63 overlapping 30-kDa 85B antigen peptides were tested in ELISA format. A normal healthy individual was included as a negative control. Antibody responses to this peptide were negative in all 3 patients.
