name:
Antibodies and T cells against synthetic peptides of the C-terminal domain (Hc) of botulinum neurotoxin type A and their cross-reaction with Hc.
description:
Peptide previously identified as harboring antibody epitope/s recognized in the response against the Hc subunit of BoNT/A in SJL and BALB/c mice.
When SJL mice were immunized with an equimolar mixture of peptides, including this one, that are said to contain T and/or B cell epitopes for mice immunized with Hc subunit of BoNT/A, significant responses are obtained against this peptide. No responses had been obtained when immunized with this peptide alone, suggesting Ab production to this peptide is modulated by help and inter-site influences of the cellular responses against the mixture constituent peptides.
