name:
Mapping a neutralizing epitope on the SARS coronavirus spike protein: computational prediction based on affinity-selected peptides.
description:
This peptide was isolated from a phage display library containing peptides with cysteine-constrained loops using a neutralizing anti-SARS spike protein monoclonal antibody.
The human recombinant mAb used in this study has previously been shown to be a potent SARS-CoV-neutralizing mAb in vitro and in vivo. In this study, the mAb was panned against a phage display library, and specific bound clones were sequenced. The derived peptides were subsequently used for computational predictions to map the neutralizing epitope.
