description:	GST-B3 fusion proteins, but not GST protein alone, reacted against anti-JE serum. Similar results were after digestion of the recombinant fusion protein with Factor Xa. It was stated that mice immunized with recombinant GST-B3 fusion protein (GST fused to epitope) induced an immune response almost similar to that by recombinant protein A-B3 fusion protein (previously published results), and that neutralizing antibodies could be induced.
