name:
Genotype 1 and genotype 2 bovine noroviruses are antigenically distinct but share a cross-reactive epitope with human noroviruses.
description:
Monoclonal antibody CM39, derived using Jena VLPs, reacted with the homologous Jena VLPs and a GST-Jena capsid fusion protein in ELISA. Reactivity was also seen in Western blot and RIPA. The mAb could not be used to develop an antigen ELISA because it did not react with virions from fecal samples of experimental calves.
