Protection against H1, H5, H6 and H9 influenza A infection with liposomal matrix 2 epitope vaccines.
|
| description: |
This peptide corresponds to the first 24 residues of matrix protein 2 as found in several strains of the H1N1 subtype of Influenza A virus. A representative Swiss-prot accession is provided here for the Matrix protein 2 containing the peptide sequence.
The response against the peptide is enhanced in mice immunized with that sequence as a fusion protein with a proprietary hydrophobic domain (HD) encapsulated in liposomes, as compared with the response obtained with peptide immunization in the absence of HD or liposomes. The response is stated to be mainly consistent of IgG1 isotype Abs.
