Linear B cell epitopes were identified by positive antibody response of rhesus monkeys to a panel of overlapping octapeptides of the colonization factor protein (CF) of enterotoxigenic E Coli (ETEC).
Rhesus monkeys were immunzed with CFA/I subunits and sera were then used to map potential linear B cell epitopes from a panel of overlapping octapeptides. Two of three immunized monkeys responded positively to this peptide.
