Proteinase K enhanced immunoreactivity of the prion protein-specific monoclonal antibody 2A11.
|
| description: |
Mab was able to recognise both the proteinase K resistant core of PrPSc (PrP27-30) and insoluble PrPSc aggregates (PrP 33-35) from BSE-affected cow brain. In immunoprecipitation experiments, mAb 2A11 could not precipitate both PrPC and PrPSc, suggesting that the folding of the protein prrevents binding of mAb 2A11.
