The epitope of NC10 scFv(5) on N9 neuraminidase was determined from the crystal structure of the complex. A recombinant single-chain Fv construct of antibody NC10 with a five-residue peptide linker (GGGS) between VH and VL (scFv(5)) was used and complexed with tetrameric neuraminidase.
