name:
Identification and characterization of novel neutralizing epitopes in the receptor-binding domain of SARS-CoV spike protein: revealing the critical antigenic determinants in inactivated SARS-CoV vaccine.
description:
The amino acids and positions were identified by single point mutation in the receptor-binding domain of SARS coronavirus. Alanine-substitution of the these critical residues significantly hampered the binding of monoclonal antibodies (S6, S37, S50) to mutant viruses.
The monoclonal antibodies exhibited potent neutralization of SARS pseudoviruses.
