name:
Characterization of the antibody response to the receptor binding domain of botulinum neurotoxin serotypes A and E.
description:
This fragment is stated to include the complete Hc domain of BoNT/A1. Other references cite the domain as starting at residue 860.
BoNT/A1 toxin (700,000 LD50) lethality in mice is inhibited by preincubation with rabbit antisera raised to its Hc domain. However, no neutralization of BoNT/E could be afforded by this antisera.
