description:	Overlapping 10 mers were synthesized based on the amino acid sequence of the B. burgdorferi flagellin B31 strain. Reaction patterns for four representative human serum specimens were evaluated against a panel of overlapping 10-mers spanning the length of the B. burgdorferi flagellin protein. All human sera (Lyme, Lues and control) recognized the author deduced C-terminal epitope aa 253-280.
