Four of 9 MAbs, 19D9D6, 14C12F5, 27D5G5, and 1G6C12, reacted with the epitope and reacted with the longer peptide S42G(2-45). The MAbs blocked binding of each other to the immunogen, HCV C120-GST, whereas a pool of human anti-HCV core-positive sera only partially blocked binding.
